Carol Birsic

On Thursday, February 26, 2026, at the of age 87, Carol Birsic of Millvale went home to her Heavenly Father. Carol was the beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Birsic. She was the loving Mother of Donald, Ronald (Sheila), Joseph (Paulette), and Thomas Schwartz, and the late Rozanne Lennartz; as well as the stepmother of Big Don and the late Rick Schwartz.  She was blessed by being a devoted grandmother and great-grandmother to many. Carol was the oldest of 12 children, Helen Savini, Anthony Bauerle, Yvonne Werner, Kenneth Bauerle, and the late Mary Shriver, Patricia Norris, Nancy Coban, Eugene, Donald, James, and Joanne Bauerle. Per Carol's wishes, there will be no visitation. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, March 4th, at 10 AM at St. Matthew's Parish, Holy Spirit Church in Millvale. Carol had a heart as generous as they come and would give to anyone in need, never knowing how to say no when someone needed a helping hand. Her kindness and selfless spirit touched countless lives. She found joy in the sunshine, whether she was soaking up the sun or taking a cruise to warm destinations. Some of her favorite activities included spending time and sharing a laugh with her sisters, who were her very best friends. Carol treasured her family, creating cherished memories when they all got together. Carol was also a familiar and friendly face at Yetter's Candy, where she enjoyed her work and the connections she made with the community she loved.
